About Primoia
Primoia is a small dev shop building infrastructure for AI agents. Three layers — open protocols, production engines, vertical applications — each one validating the next.
Philosophy
Most "AI platforms" pick one layer and pretend the others don't matter. Open-source folks ship protocols nobody implements. Enterprise vendors ship implementations nobody can extend. Vertical apps ship features without ever exposing the substrate. The result is a fragmented ecosystem where each player optimizes for its own layer and the user gets duct tape.
Primoia keeps all three layers in view. The open protocols
(myco,
ACP) stay honest
because they have to support multiple implementations. The
production engines (Vocall,
primoia-myco) stay
grounded because they have to back vertical applications with real
users. The verticals (Emitta,
HN Sieve) stay focused
because the plumbing already exists.
It's slower than picking one layer. But it's the only way the substrate matures alongside the products it powers.
How we work
Small team, async by default. Open source first, commercial when the open core is mature enough to be productized without compromise. Allergic to over-engineering — clean architecture and DDD when they pay off, plain text and HTTP when they don't.
No funding. No investors. No quarterly roadmap promises. Just steady shipping. Some products will scale, some will be archived. The substrate stays.
